Everyone please list a few ideas that are a subject of interest. If there are duplicate or similar topics of interest from anyone, we can figure out how to group them together so they're mostly the same. Please just post your ideas and refrain from getting off-topic with other members, just so things run smoothly on this thread. Thanks!

Once we have a set number of ideas that will last a bit, we can schedule them properly and figure out when our first open discussion will take place.

Yeah... I just randomly made a list as I was going which is why there isn't really too much thought or organization in it, but those are some ideas we may want to discuss. I'll post others eventually I'm sure

Those are really good ideas so far. We'll be kept busy for a while. XD

Yeah, Bryan, that's a good idea. Since there are so many things to talk about, everyone can post a long list, and then, once you've figured out which ones are your favorites, post the first 5 you'd like to do. The rest can be tackled afterwards.

So, Bryan and Scott, if you'd like to post your top 5 picks out of these, that would be great. Then, once we've got everyone's picks, we can make them into a list to start where every week/2 weeks someone gets one of their questions asked. So that keeps it fair for everyone. We'll wait a bit before starting the actual topic, though, so people get a chance to post their ideas and intros.

Should the US "help" other countries using force?

Should there be stricter rules on church and state? (ex. One nation under God)

Welfare.

Is there any value to religion now-a-days?

Should parents and teacher be allowed to hit/punish children? (Paddle, humiliation, kneel on rye)

Here's my top five:

1) What is consciousness? Specifically I'm thinking of artificial intelligence

2) What is a soul? (for example, if I put your personality in another person, is it still you? Would a clone still be you?)

3) The Educational System

4) Something with government

5) Religion (Does it have value? Its place in education, etc)

He means "kneel on rice" I think. I've heard of parents doing that: making them kneel on a pile of dried rice, cutting into their skin and being really uncomfortable.

5-the media (models, actors/actresses, salaries, thinness)

1.) What is the meaning of “intelligence”?
2.) Conformity vs. nonconformity? Is helping people and making them happy more important than doing what a person really wants to do? (Duty vs. Desire.)
3.) What is a woman’s real job and duty? Intellectual pursuits? Children? Homemaking? Education? Etc.
4.) Is technology helpful or hurtful to humanity?
5.) Is democracy actually the best government?
